Background

Meela is the co-owner and manager of the Drunken Moogle Pub. Most weekends she can be found behind the bar slinging drinks.Meela's business interests extend beyond the the drinks industry. She owns several other properties and businesses scattered around Eorzea. But the majority are clustered around the city of Ul'dah.

Appearance

Meela is pretty enough. But, most people would call her cute before beautiful. While not particularly muscular or athletic looking, Meela is in good shape physically. Her skin is fair and unblemished. Her delicate frame bears all the aspects of someone that makes a living through bookwork instead of physical activities.Meela's voice matches her cute appearance. It has a sickly sweet tone which she tries to keep refined by paying particular attention to annunciate perfectly. That is at least until she's had a few drinks.

Attire

Meela wardrobe is a strange mix of businesswear and military. But when feeling the mood, she does like to dress up too. When travelling, she'll wear outfits made from heavy fabrics or leather. They'll often come with straps and buckles that lean into her military streak.Meela will typically carry a small Thumaturge's wand. While she's small, she certainly doesn't come across as defenceless.Another notable feature is that she will almost always be wearing some type of gloves. These often have small stones embroidered into the back of them.

Plot Hooks

Ul'dahn Street Rat (Ul'dhan Merchants/Lower class): While Meela was lucky enough to have a roof over her head. Her family still didn't have much gil. She spent most of her childhood hanging around the markets of Ul'dah.

Thaumaturge's Guild Alumna (Thaumaturges): Meela has a natural talent for Thaumaturgy. At the age of 16 she was brought in to the Thaumaturges guild where she spent two years studying. She would have been on track to become quite the academic, until the threat of the Empire's invasion took her on another path.

Former Soldier (Immortal Flames): At the age of 18, Meela signed up to the Immortal Flames to defend the city against the Garlean Empire. She went through training in the Immortal Flames and used her skill as a Thaumaturge in the war.

Carteneau Survivor (Soldiers): Meela was there when the moon fell, fighting alongside the other Grand Companies. And for it she became a decorated war hero.

7-4 Guards (Ul'dhan Citizens): In the years after the calamity, Meela led a small platoon of Immortal Flames charged with defending the city. She was well known amongst the refugees at the time.

Business contact (Merchants): Meela is rich. She is known amongst merchants and business people in Ul'dah where she owns several businesses. In the Shroud she is known for sending food and medicine to Ul'dah and Ala Mhigo. Further afield she's less well known but might come up as someone that imports and exports goods.

Magical (Sensitive to magic): Meela's natural talent for thaumaturgy isn't something she makes use of often. But those that are attuned to it would recognise her to be a powerful mage. Those with aethersight might catch her glowing slightly with an unaspected aether.

Relationships

Bexa Nelhah

Meela's business partner and co-owner of the Drunken Moogle. Meela partnered up with Bexa after she found her dispensing medicine while Meela was dispensing food. While Bexa is quite a bit older than Meela, she still considers her a good ally.
Meela acts like the 'cool aunt' to Bexa's son, Bex'li, who is a few years younger than Meela and grew up with a bit of a crush on her. Don't worry, he's since grown out out that.

Tsuruko Mizuhiki

Fierce and honourable. Meela was flattered at how much Tsuruko admired her and they soon became lovers. Meela adores Tsuruko and wants to see her happy, but still can't agree with her love of honour. Something Meela has a complicated relationship with.

Sawyer Black

One of the few survivors of Meela's war days. She looks at him like a younger brother, both having grown up on the poor side of Ul'dah. Meela makes sure Sawyer is taken care of, even if he's more than capable of taking care of himself.
On countless occasions they've saved each others lives. Sawyer acted as the grounding influence in Meela's chaotic wartime adventures.

Tsu Uzuka and F'abilyn Lhea

The Gremlins. Meela's closest friends. At least for the moment. They argue quite a lot. Meela can't quite figure out where she fits in with them since she's constantly the third wheel. But she adores them all the same.

Vex Redain and Y'Min Diari

The original and best. The Minquisition. Two old drinking buddies of Meela's who would often team up against poor unfortunate patrons of bars they were drinking at. Many a night, the three of them would sprawled out on a couch drinking rum and talking about Vex's latest conquests.
They've since drifted apart, Vex more literally so on a ship. And Min who lives the quiet pacifist life of a bard.

Me: I've been roleplaying Meela since FFXIV (ARR) came out. Before that, I roleplayed in WoW. So, I've got some experience under my belt. But don't let that scare you, I'm open to roleplay with anyone of any amount of experience.Timezones: I'm in the UK (GMT/BST). I work a 9-5 (ish) job, so that usually leaves me free to roleplay evenings and weekends. Most Saturdays I'm running the Drunken Moogle at 9pm my time until Midnight. But I'm not one for staying up past 1am when I have work the next day.IC/OOC: I don't know if this needs to be said, but I'm saying it anyway. I am not Meela. I'm not looking for someone to date (I'm taken - and very old). I won't accept any bleed between IC and OOC. But I have friends I've made in FFXIV. I'm fine with sharing silly memes and the like in Discord.Won't Do: I've had Meela a long time. She's not for killing off or injuring severely. Don't godmod my character.Dark Content/ERP: Yes, if it makes sense. Meela is a pretty dark character having killed many people (NPCs) under various different circumstances. Other 'adult' content might be ok, but only as part of a wider story.
